FTP access

CastAwayZA VPS · encrypted FTP (FTPS, explicit TLS) and SFTP

Host	`ftp.castawayza.co.za`
Port	`21` (explicit FTPS — the client must start TLS)
Mode	Passive, ports 40000–40100
Username	The FTP account issued to you
Start folder	`/` = the web root; one folder per site, e.g. `maps/public_html`
SFTP alternative	`sftp` on port 22 with your SSH key — preferred for large or scripted uploads

Plain, unencrypted FTP is refused by design: passwords never cross the wire in the clear. In FileZilla use Require explicit FTP over TLS; in WinSCP choose FTP with TLS/SSL (explicit).
